As a matter of fact, the type of analog IC that this voltage regulator 12v is equipped with is called SWITCHING REGULATOR. The space-saving 10-TFSOP, 10-MSOP (0.118, 3.00mm Width) package is available for this voltage regulator. The voltage regulator 12v has 1 outputs. DC DC switching regulators like this one generate Fixed outputs on their output pins to handle the power management. As the name implies, this voltage regulator 12v is designed for mounting on a Surface Mount bracket. -40°C~125°C TJ should be the operating temperature when voltage regulator is operating. The voltage regulator can be operated with a voltage as low as 2.7V as an input voltage. A maximum design flexibility is provided by the 800mA output current of voltage regulator. 260 is essentially indestructible due to DC DC switching regulator's peak reflow temperature. As a result of DC DC switching regulator's design, it is designed to provide an input voltage of 7.2V for the purposes of operation.
