The UCC3895 is a phase-shifted PWM controller that controls a full-bridge power stage by phase-shifting switching one half-bridge relative to the other. The device supports constant frequency pulse width modulation and resonant zero-voltage switching, which provides high efficiency at high frequencies. The device can be used as both a voltage-mode controller and a current-mode controller.

While retaining the features of the UC3875/6/7/8 series and UC3879, the UCC3895 improves this controller family with additional features such as enhanced control logic, adaptive delay settings and shutdown capabilities. Because the device is fabricated using a BCDMOS process, it operates at a much lower current than its bipolar counterparts. The maximum clock frequency of the UCC3895 is 1MHz.
