In order to prevent damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. Photodiodes are protected by TO-206AA, TO-18-3 Metal Can packages in order to ensure their safety. Continually operating in reverse-bias mode, a photodiode's maximum voltage is 30V. During reverse-bias operation, the photodiodes should never exceed 30V. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 100pA current.
