For optimal performance, this voltage regulator makes use of the Tube package. In this voltage regulator, there are a total of 28 terminations. There are two types of analog ICs in this voltage regulator 12v: SWITCHING CONTROLLER ICs, which are the ones used in older voltage regulator 12vs. In order to save space, this voltage regulator is packaged in the 28-SSOP (0.154, 3.90mm Width) package. In this case, DC DC switching regulator has 2 outputs configured to it. DC DC switching regulators like this one generate Adjustable outputs on their output pins to handle the power management. This voltage regulator 12v fits the Surface Mount mounting.
