The World's FIRST Automotive-Grade Monolithic Integrated Three-Axis MEMS Gyroscope Launched By TDK
TDK recently announced the expansion of its Smart Automotive automotive safety integrity level (ASIL) and non-ASIL motion sensor product line, and launched the InvenSense IAM-20380HT monolithic integrated MEMS and ASIC three-axis Motion Tracking sensor platform solution for non-safety automotive applications, including IAM-20380HT three-axis MEMS gyroscope and DK-20380HT development kit.

The IAM-20380HT is a stand-alone gyroscope in a 3 mm x 3 mm x 0.75 mm (16-pin LGA) ultra-thin package that operates reliably over a wide temperature range, providing reliable and high-precision Measurement data for various applications, including but not limited to: navigation and dead reckoning, vehicle tracking, telematics, door control and vision systems, etc.
Utilizing TDK's market-proven and highly reliable MEMS sensor manufacturing technology, the IAM-20380HT, like all products in the SmartAutomotive series, is a single-chip SoC (System on Chip) that eliminates the wire-bond interconnection between the sensing element (MEMS) and the processing circuit (ASIC), offering unrivaled advantages in performance and reliability.

The IAM-20380HT offers best-in-class low-noise performance and leading bias instability to ensure accurate vehicle positioning, an on-chip 16-bit ADC, and industry-leading sensitivity tolerance. Compared with the previous generation of three-axis gyroscopes, it provides an extended FIFO depth of 4096 bytes and two independently programmable interrupts.
